Installing the network scan driver

System requirements

Before installing the network scan driver, make sure:

Supported operating systems

Note: For specific supported operating system versions, see the Web site associated with your operating system, or open /usr/mfpscan/docs/ and look for the file supported-platforms.txt after installation.

Installing on RPM- or Debian-based operating systems

  1. Launch the Web page associated with your printer on your computer.

  2. From the drivers area, select the appropriate package file, and then download it to your computer.

  3. Do either of the following:

    • Double-click the package file.

    • On a terminal window, type the appropriate command, and then press Enter:

      64-bit RPM-based operating systems

      rpm -ivh network-scan-linux-glibc2-x86_64.rpm
